Cocktails For a Cause: Wounded Warriors Outdoors, Inc.

A black bear hunt in British Columbia, a trip to Belize for 5 days, an Indian River fishing trip, and….The University Club of Orlando?  You may be asking yourself, what do all of these things have in common?  The University Club of Orlando will be hosting the Wounded Warrior Outdoors Cocktails for a Cause Thursday, February 24 from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
Wounded Warriors Outdoors, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded to provide therapeutic outdoor adventures across North America to wounded servicemen and women.  Their “Adventures Enabled” allow Active Duty Warriors in transition to have an experience of a lifetime, whether it be fishing in the Gulf Coast, bear hunting in the mountains of British Columbia, and even deer hunting in Texas.  These adventures are all-inclusive and at no cost to the servicemen and women, their families or the government.  It is because of these provisions that Wounded Warrior Outdoors relies entirely on private donations.
Cocktails for A Cause is a great way to enjoy the company of friends, have a few drinks, and also an amazing opportunity to win fabulous prizes.  At this event one can find complimentary hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar with great drink specials, and a silent auction.  Aside from the packages mentioned earlier, some of the other items for auction include: use of a private plane for one day, Orlando Magic tickets, an assorted wild game meat package, an offshore saltwater fishing trip, and much more.  All tips, donations and auction proceeds go directly to Wounded Warrior Outdoors.  Reservation to this event are required and to find out more information, or to make a reservation, please email membership@ucluborlando.com or call 407-425-2514.
