Thank you to our Florida Troops

Every year the University Club finds some way to share their gratitude for those men and women in the US Armed Forces.  This year a local Army Colonel, Joe O'Connell gave us information for the many Central Florida Area Residents who are currently serving in the Military.  Though there is no sufficient amount of gratitude we could offer them ....The University Club Members did send over 21 Boxes of personal items, games, DVDs, books and Holiday Wishes to 590 Florida Soldiers.

Foundation Dinner Recap

On Thursday, October 7th many of the University Club Members joined the 2010 scholarship recipients from five of Florida's Colleges and Universities.  All of the recipients were awarded a portion of the $50,000 that the Club annually donates to Seminole State, Valencia, University of Central Florida, Florida A&M University College of Law and Hamilton Holt School at Rollins College.

The night began with a welcome from Foundation Chairman, Dave Walker.  While Members, Student Recipients, Families and Administrators enjoyed a fabulous dinner, Recipients shared a little bit about what the University Club Foundation has done to help them move ahead in their educational and career endeavors.

"My continued success is undoubtedly a direct result of your generosity."  Hamilton Holt Recipient, Amy Guy stated.

We would like to hand all of the Members who graciously donated and attended this event that represents the true spirit of the University Club and University Club Foundation.

We have been busy and we want to share...

Events at the U-Club have a wide range of diversity.  From your elegant and romantic weddings to an organization's monthly meeting to a night of cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while raising money for non-profit groups through our "Cocktails for a Cause" program...it's no wonder we needed to begin a blog.  We are excited to share with you the day to day happenings in our private event world...so look back for future posts!!!
